Alexander Vaganov was born in 1951 in Dzhalal Abad (a town in Kirgizia).
Finished Moscow State Art Surikov’s institute.
Since 1979 has participated in local, republican, all-union and international exhibitions. Since 1986 – a member of the Russian artists’ Union.
